Formally trained in General Agriculture, Entomology, Crop Protection, Urban Pest Control and Pesticides Management, Guy has more than 30 years experience in the Caribbean region.

Former Head of Research and Development (2001 - 2009), Ministry of Agriculture, Saint Lucia, Caribbean. Team Leader of Soils, Agronomy, Plant Protection and Quarantine and Food Technology Units.

Former Registrar/Secretary (1996 - 2009)  of the Saint Lucia Pesticides & Toxic Chemicals Control Board and Lecturer in Crop Protection (1994 - 2007) in the Division of Agriculture at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, Castries, Saint Lucia, Caribbean
